Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Capexz application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is owned and operated by Genstellar ("we," "our," or "us").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Capexz is a personal finance and wealth-building application that provides:

  • Net Worth Tracking: Manual entry and monitoring of your assets, liabilities, and overall net worth.
  • F.I.R.E. Engine: A structured, stage-based system (the Capexz Ladder) to guide users through financial milestones — from emergency fund creation to financial independence.
  • Monthly Planning & Streaks: Budget planning tools with habit-tracking streaks to encourage consistent financial discipline.
  • Reminders: Notifications via push, email, and WhatsApp to help you stay on track with your financial goals.
  • Email Transaction Parsing: Optional email integration to automatically detect and categorize transactions from bank alerts.

Capexz is available on Android, iOS, Desktop, and Web platforms via Kotlin Multiplatform technology.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Account Registration

  • You must create an account to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at security@genstellar.in if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate financial data. Capexz is a tracking and planning tool — the accuracy of its outputs depends entirely on your inputs.
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Not create multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions or limitations.

6. Financial Disclaimer

The Service provides informational tools for personal finance tracking and goal planning. It does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any professional advisory service. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.

We do not guarantee any specific financial outcomes from using the Service. Past performance indicators, projections, or estimates shown in the app are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as predictions of future results.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, logos, UI components, and all content, is the exclusive property of Genstellar and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in that policy.

9. Email Integration

If you choose to connect your email account for automatic transaction detection:

  • You grant Capexz permission to access only transaction-related emails from financial institutions using OAuth 2.0.
  • You may revoke this access at any time through the app settings or your email provider's security settings.
  • We are not responsible for any delays, errors, or omissions in transaction data parsed from emails.

10. Notifications & Communications

By using the Service, you may opt in to receive notifications via:

  • Push Notifications: Managed through your device's notification settings.
  • Email: Financial reminders and plan updates.
  • WhatsApp: Reminders sent via the WhatsApp Business API.

You can disable any or all notification channels at any time from within the app settings. We will never send unsolicited marketing messages.

11. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the Service's availability at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Server or infrastructure issues
  • Force majeure events

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

12. Termination

  • By You: You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
  • By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that is harmful to the Service or other users.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
  • Genstellar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Genstellar, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notifications and by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
