Welcome to Capexz ("we," "our," or "us"), a product of Genstellar. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Capexz mobile application, web application, and website (collectively, the "Service").

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account or use our Service, we may collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Phone number (for WhatsApp notifications)
  • Authentication credentials (managed securely via Firebase Authentication)

2.2 Financial Information

To provide our core wealth-building features, we collect financial data that you voluntarily enter:

  • Income and expense details
  • Net worth figures (assets, liabilities, investments)
  • Debt repayment plans and SIP configurations
  • Monthly budget plans and savings goals
  • F.I.R.E. (Financial Independence, Retire Early) targets

Important: We do not have direct access to your bank accounts. All financial data is manually entered by you or parsed from email transaction alerts that you explicitly connect.

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser information
  • App usage patterns (screens visited, features used)
  • Crash logs and performance data

2.4 Email Integration Data

If you choose to connect your email account for automatic transaction detection:

  • We access only transaction-related emails from banks and financial institutions
  • We use OAuth 2.0 for secure, revocable access
  • We do not read, store, or process any personal or non-financial emails

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service, including net worth tracking, the F.I.R.E. engine, and monthly planning features
  • Calculate your financial stage on the Capexz Ladder
  • Send reminders and notifications via push, email, or WhatsApp (only with your consent)
  • Track your plan streaks and financial habits
  • Improve and optimize the Service
  • Respond to your support requests

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Cloud Storage: Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Local Storage: The app stores data locally using SQLDelight for offline access. This data remains on your device.
  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2+.
  • Access Control: Firebase Security Rules ensure that you can only access your own data. No other user or unauthorized party can view your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google), and WhatsApp Business API for notifications — these providers process data only as necessary to provide their services.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct: Update or correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Revoke Email Access: Disconnect your email integration at any time from the app settings.
  • Opt Out: Disable notifications (push, email, or WhatsApp) at any time.
